He married Mary Elizabeth McGovern 1918 in Lampman, Saskatchewan, Canada, daughter of James McGovern and Elizabeth Flynn. She was born January 1890 in Langdon, Cavalier County, North Dakota, and died 14 December 1961 in Lampman, Saskatchewan, Canada.
